The forming of TCBB
For many years Todmorden Old Brass Band had served the needs of the town. With contesting successes in the 1990's fewer local people found themselves playing in the band. In 2001 the band moved to Rochdale where they were due to compete in the North West Area Finals the following year. All this left Todmorden without a local band.

June 2002 saw the band move from St.Mary's to Central Methodist Church due to the increasing need for storage space.
In August 2004, after a three-
The bandroom on Wellington Road should have been the band's biggest asset but after four years of neglect the weather had taken its toll. The floor of the building was rotten and had to be replaced. Central heating system was not working and needed replacing. The interior fabric too had suffered and was in need of attention.
In September 2004 the band set about making good the building. With everyone working to raise the money to refurbish the bandroom it wasn’t too long before the work got started. The work was finally completed in September 2005 with the official opening performed by Maurice Greenwood (Clerk of Works) on Saturday 12th November.
